Happy Holidays!

This time of year is just crazy! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Did Santa bring you everything you hoped and wished for?! I know Brock scored a pretty big Christmas & he's not even here yet! He got lots of blankies and clothes that are sure to make your heart melt. Grandpa Kevin & Tami got us a travel system that I completely adore. Aaron & I had tons of fun pushing Maggie (our Yorkie-Poo) around in the stroller. She was too cute- I'll have to post pictures of that later. My awesome hubby got me some much needed maternity clothes for work and a gift card to a spa! Oh man I can't wait for my massage! Anyway, here is Aaron & I Christmas Day- also 24 weeks.

  • How far along: 24 weeks
  • Weight gain: I haven't been on a scale in a while- I would guess +10 lbs
  • Maternity clothes: Yep, cute new ones too!
  • Sleep: Back to not sleeping well :(
  • Stretch marks: No
  • Best moment of this week: Christmas!!!
  • Food cravings: Cookies- I really love Snicker doodle

  • Labor sings: No
  • What I miss most: Being tan. Aaron & I used to be the same color! Haha!
  • What I'm looking forward to: Seeing Brock Christian next week. I have another ultrasound on Thursday b/c he was being stubborn at the anatomy scan and they weren't able to get the pictures of his little face that they needed.
  • Milestones: Happy V-Day to me! Viability Day that is. Brock is now big enough to survive in the real world. Obviously we want to keep him cooking for as long a possible but it's a great feeling to know our chances are good if something horrible should happen.

We have kicks!!!

It's about time! I finally felt Brock kick or punch or something but it was movement for sure! We were at a friends house sitting on the couch and I felt a little poke on my right side. I looked at Aaron and told him I think I just felt the baby move. I put his hand where I felt it and sure enough little Brock kicked his Daddy! It was so awesome! Now that I know what it feels like I feel him all the time. I'm so excited and it was well worth the wait.

21 Weeks

Wow, 21 weeks! Before you know it our little man will be here. I can't believe how fast time is going by. Christmas is on it's way and we still don't know if we will be in the new house by then or not. Please people approve the short sale already! Well in honor of the Holiday Season here is our little man in a Santa hat! I couldn't resist!

  • How far along?: 21 weeks
  • Weight gain: I have a doctor's appointment Monday and will get the official weigh in. But I weighed myself at Publix and have apparently gained 8 pounds! At least it's all belly and boobs so far!
  • Maternity clothes: Yes, I love my maternity jeans! Aaron wishes they made them for men. He gets so jealous that after a big meal my pants grow with my belly and he has to unbutton his pants.
  • Sleep: I am sleeping like a baby. Well, the babies that actually sleep!
  • Stretch marks: No!
  • Best moment of this week: Well it was last week but finding out that we're having a little boy!
  • Movement: I'm still not feeling him. I'm really starting to get frustrated with this. I'm going to ask my doctor on Monday if I have an anterior placenta. That would explain things!
  • Food cravings: I've been craving burgers this week. I can't get enough meat!
  • Belly button in or out: In but it's getting shallow. It is way too early for it to pop.
  • What I miss most: Nothing. I love being pregnant right now!
  • What I'm looking forward to: Starting on his nursery.
  • Weekly Wisdom: Friends are awesome! Keep them close and make sure they know how thankful you are of them.
  • Milestones: Finding out the sex & being half way done

I'm really not sure how a banana is bigger than a cantaloupe but I'm guessing they are going by length..

Half Baked

With the holiday last week I have been pretty busy and haven't had a chance to update the blog. I have reached a HUGE milestone... I am officially half way through my pregnancy! It seems like just yesterday we found out the awesome news but at the same time I can't wait to meet my little boy. Wow I never thought I would be saying that!

Some updates:
Brooke finally moved back home and while we learned a lot about our selves and each other during her time with us Aaron and I are both very glad to see her go. We have our house back and it's so nice!

We are getting close to closing on the house. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything goes through in the next week or so. We really need to be in before Christmas and I'm dying to start the baby's nursery and put up my Christmas tree.

We're making progress on a name. We're not ready to run out and get things embroidered but we have been playing with the idea of Brock Christian for a couple of weeks now and we both still like it. I think it's a strong name and a great compromise to having a Jr.

Nursery decor is a battle right now. Aaron wants a typical sports themed room and I'm not having' it! I will only have the next 2 to 3 years max to have a say in how his room will be decorated and till I will be up to my eyeballs in balls, bats, gloves, ect. I want a cute nursery maybe jungle animals or sail boats. It's not like I'm trying to put pink stuff in there but I'm not ready for full blown sports stuff yet.

Well 20 weeks down to 20 go!

It's a BOY!!!

Well there is no doubt that Baby Campbell is a boy! Aaron had jury duty this week of all weeks and was unable to go the big ultra sound with me. I kept going back and forth on if I should find out with out him or not. I finally decided to have the ultra sound tech put the results in a sealed envelope so we could find out together. It was definitely the best choice. It was so fun to open the envelope with him and find out together that in a few short months we are going to have a beautiful little boy. Aaron is beyond excited to be having a son to carry on the family name. Here is the money shot!

It was awesome to be able to see all his little organs and bones. I saw the 4 chambers of the heart and blood pumping through them, all his little fingers and toes, his spine, kidneys, ribs... it was so amazing that something so tiny has so much going on INSIDE me! He is already taking after his Daddy, he was being so stubborn! The ultra sound tech had tons of trouble getting measurements of his head because of the way he was laying. He had his little head hanging down in my bladder with his feet up in my ribs and would not move! I am so excited to have a healthy baby boy! Here are the rest of the pictures from the ultra sound. Enjoy!

  • Movement: I'm not sure if it's the baby moving or not, but something is going on in there. It's like my stomach gets really tight in one area and I feel pressure. It doesn't hurt but it's not comfortable. I don't know...
  • Food cravings: I've been really good this week. I haven't eaten anything crazy.
  • Belly Button in or out: In
  • What I miss most: I am really enjoying being pregnant right now. I wouldn't change a thing. Although and tuna sandwich sounds awesome!

17 Weeks

Well, I'm 17 weeks today... almost 1/2 way done! I had a doctors appointment this morning and everything was good. I heard the heartbeat again and as always, it was unbelievable. I also got the H1N1 shot so Kevin... get off me! Just kidding, you know I love you! 13 days till the anatomy ultra sound! I really can't wait to find out.
  • How far along?: 17 weeks
  • Total weight gain: I have gained 4 pounds since my last doctors appointment which has me down 1 pound from my pre-pregnancy weight. I don't know how I haven't gained more because I can't button my pants anymore. Which brings me to....
  • Maternity clothes: I'm still not in maternity clothes just yet but I am rocking a Bella Band thanks to my awesome hubby & our good friend Abby. I had a minor melt down earlier this week when I got dressed for work and realized I couldn't button my pants. Aaron took me to lunch that day and had gone to Babies R Us before he picked me up & got me a Bella Band. That's love! The next day he came home from work with more goodies! Our friend gave me one of her Bella Bands and some Cocoa Butter. God love her!!!
  • Sleep: I've been sleeping like a baby
  • Best moment of this week: Aaron surprising me and being the best husband ever

  • Movement: I still haven't felt anything. But apparently the baby can hiccup now?!
  • Gender: I'm still thinking girl
  • Food cravings: Considering I have eaten an entire jar of pickles in one sitting more than once this week.... I'm going to have to say pickles
  • Labor signs: No
  • Belly button in or out?: In

  • What I'm looking forward to: Finding out if it's a boy or girl
  • Weekly wisdom: Learn to to people's advise with a grain of salt NOW. Everyone has an opinion about everything and you may not care how big they were when they were pregnant with their 1st, 2nd , 10th kid but they are still going to tell you and they are still going to tell you that you must not be eating enough and then they are going to tell you what you should do because after all everyone is an expert. So go ahead & learn to smile and nod. Then take what you want and pretend the rest never happened.
  • Milestones: The baby can hear me now!

15 Weeks

I can't believe I'm 15 weeks pregnant. Only 175 days to go. Everything has been going well, just taking it one day at a time. The house hunting process is definitely not for hormonal pregnant women. I'm beyond excited one second and ready to kill someone the next. I just really hope we get this house. I have already pictured our stuff in there, our baby's nursery, the little one eating and playing there... I HAVE TO HAVE THIS HOUSE! Anyway, the baby is doing well going more and more each day. We are so excited & I just can't wait to meet the little one!
  • How far along?: 15 weeks

14 Weeks

Well I'm actually 14 weeks and 3 days now, but who's counting! Not much has happened since last week. We started house hunting and while it's fun to go look at houses and imagine yourself living there, raising your child there, and decorating a nursery there, it really sucks to find out that some other lucky, probably not as awesome family bought it before you could! I am way too hormonal for this. I got so disappointed and it's not like we have been looking for forever. I guess it was not meant to be. I'm sure there will be something more perfect for us, we just have to keep looking. I have started the count down to finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl! I just can't wait to know if the little one is going to be a soccer player or ballerina.
  • How far along?: 14 week
  • Total weight gain: I have not weighed myself since my last doctors appointment. I really need to go buy a scale.
  • Maternity clothes?: Not yet, I'm still fitting in my regular clothes but they are getting tighter and more uncomfortable by the day. I'm just not ready for elastic waistbands yet.
  • Sleep: Meh, I've had better
  • Best Moment of this week: Not baby related but, looking at houses
  • Movement: I thought I felt the baby this week but it could have just been a big growth day for the uterus. The best way I can describe it is like pop rocks. You know the candy that pops in your mouth and tingles...
  • Gender: 4 more weeks
  • Food cravings: Grilled cheese
  • Labor signs: No
  • Belly button in or out?: In
  • What I miss: I'm back to missing drinking. It's just not the same to watch football and not have a beer
  • What I'm looking forward to: Finding out the sex
  • Weekly wisdom: Make sure your husband knows how much you appreciate everything he does for you. You may be crazy hormonal and get mad for no reason but who would you have to yell at if it were not for him? I could not get through any of this with out you Aaron. Thank you for being so supportive and understanding. I love you buddy!
  • Milestones: Started looking into childcare this week

What baby Campbell is up to:

Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling and (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidney, and spleen continue to develop. Languo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over the body.

Weekly wisdom: If you're sick, call in. Your boss will understand. Staying in bed until 2 to avoid passing out and throwing up all day is SO worth it!
Milestones: I'm in the 2nd tri!!!

What baby Campbell is up to:
Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords, and is reaching normal proportions, with a head only one third the size of the body.

We got to see Baby Campbell again!!!

We had another doctors appointment today and an ultra sound to do an NT Scan which is the 1st part of a series of tests that assess the probability of your baby having Downs Syndrome. Everything looked great but the baby was being stubborn. It took a while for her to get the measurements she needed. Of course this didn't bother me, I got to ohh and aww over my baby for that much longer! We got to see some great profile pics. and the baby's little nose and lips were so cute. We saw the tiny little feet and hands and the baby was moving around a bit. Such an awesome feeling!
After the ultra sound we met with our doctor and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was by far the most amazing experience of my life. I still can't believe we're having a baby! It's so much more real now that it doesn't look like a blob. I did get in a little trouble with my doctor. I have apparently lost 5 pounds. I have no idea how this could have happened. I feel bigger, my clothes are tighter, and I know my boobs have grown. Where did the weight go? He wasn't too worried about it and he just told me to make sure I gain a couple of pounds before he sees me again. I go back in 6 weeks to find out if it's a boy or a girl! I have no idea how I'm going pass the time!
Profile picture of baby Campbell. If you look close enough you can see the little nose, lips and chin.
Such a little lady with her legs crossed. A girl can dream, right!

Just loungin' in Mommy's tummy.
Baby Campbell's cute little face!

I'm a hot mess!

I had a rough night last night. Let me set the stage for you... I'm on my way home from work and I'm on the phone with Aaron trying to figure out what we want for dinner. As usual it's "I don't care, well I don't care either". Now I don't know if it was the mere mention of tacos or if I caught a whiff of something foul but I started gaging as I'm driving down the highway. I'm seriously 2 dry heaves away from throwing up in my lap. What the heck "morning" sickness, you're not Brittney Spears, you can't just make a come back when ever you feel like it. I have a life you know. I don't have time for this! So we or I should say I finally decide on KFC. And wow let me tell you there is nothing better than the fried, greasy goodness that is KFC! Anyway, we go to bed and Aaron finally get lucky ;) or so he thinks. Guess who also decided to make an appearance last night? Yea that's right, the crazy hormonal lady that cries at the drop of a hat. Yes, I started crying hysterically immediately afterwards. At some point I realized that I feel disgusted with my self. I kept telling him how gross I feel and how ugly I am and apparently the rational thing to do is sob over it. The poor guy just sat there and told my how beautiful I am. He was probably thinking "Oh shit, what did I get myself into"! I can only imagine what the next 6 months will bring!

Forced to tell

Yesterday I received a Facebook friend request from a guy at work. He had also made a nice comment on my profile picture saying, Hmmm I wonder what that could be a picture of? Well being the dumb ass I am I changed my profile picture to the ultrasound pic. of baby Campbell. I thought I was so sneaky! I made all my setting private thinking I was in the clear. I guess I forgot that anyone can search you and your profile picture will come up. So today I was forced to tell my boss the big news. I was terrified. I started about a month ago and I didn't know how he was going to react. So this morning after our staff meeting I asked him if he had a minute to talk and I shut the door behind me. My heart started racing. I felt like I started sweating, I panicked. I asked him something about payroll and then tried to slip in the "hey I'm not really sure how to tell you this.... but Aaron and I are expecting". I'm saying this while I'm choking my tears back. I lost it, I started crying like a little girl. What was I doing? How in the hell is crying, looking like a crazy, hormonal pregnant woman going to help my case? He was really great. He was telling my not worry about, that this is such exciting news and congratulating us. I told him that I am really happy with the company and that I plan on working till delivery and coming back as soon as I can. He said not to worry about anything and that we will make it work. I'm so relieved that it's out in the open, I survived, not gracefully, but I survived. Thank God it's over!

On another note, I'm 12 weeks today! I cant believe I'm one week away from 2nd tri! The time has just flown by. I'm starting to have more energy, feeling less nauseous, and can definitely see a change in my body. Next Wednesday I have another ultrasound. Were supposed to hear the heart beat and hopefully the baby looks less like a blob and more like a baby! I'll have Aaron take a belly pic. tonight and will update this weekend.

Happy Friday!

My little embryo is a fetus now!

I have been a bad blogger, and haven't updated in a while. I am 9 weeks today, which means my little embryo has officially graduated to fetus-hood! Not too much has changed. I'm finally getting used to being exhausted all the time and the nausea hasn't been too bad. The crazy dreams and cravings are in full swing. All I want to eat is a giant bowl of Skittles, Mike & Ike's, and Starburst's with a side of Bomb Pops. I guess that explains the 5 pounds I've gained already! The doctors appointments have slowed down now, I don't have another one for 4 weeks. I will get another ultrasound then and get to actually hear the baby's heartbeat!

In other news: The house hunt continues. I found a house in Summerport that I love, I just need to get Aaron on board! We, or I guess I, got into another wreck this past weekend. It was the most scary experience of my life. We hydroplaned and spun out on the highway. I hit the cement median head on and spun a few more times until we finally came to a stop. We were both okay, just worried about the baby. To make things worse, I forgot to turn in the proof of payment from my last ticket, and apparently my license was suspended. So I got 2 tickets for calling the wreck that no one else was involved in! I'm looking forward to the weekend and the start of football season! Go Cowboys!!!

Drumroll please....

Out little baby is now the size of a green olive!

I found this on Thebump.com & it updates you weekly on what your baby is doing & how it's growing.Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about 100 new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.

Baby's First Photo Shoot

Our 1st ultra sound was today & we got to see the baby's heart beat. It was a preatty amazing experience and we are so excited to be parents. Our due date is April 16 2010 makeing the baby 6 weeks and 5 days old. Right now the baby is growing like crazy, and is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

1st Prenatal Appointment

I had my first prenatal appointment yesterday. It was pretty uneventful. I took another pee test to confirm the home pregnancy test results, and no surprise there- it was positive. It was a little reassuring to have a doctor confirm the exciting news though.

I met Dr. Peppy and really liked him. I was somewhat nervous because I have never been to a male OBGYN but he didn’t creep me out. In fact, he was really nice and laid back, I guess we will see how it goes when he “goes down on me”! He made me laugh when he referred to being pregnant as a condition and then proceeded to go over all of the things I can & can’t do anymore, it seemed like the list was never ending.

I’m not really sure when I had my last period so he used my last known period which was in June and when my July period should have been and came up with a couple of estimated due dates (EDD). If I conceived after my June period my EDD is 3/20/10 which will be our 1st wedding anniversary, and if I conceived after my July period my EDD is 4/20/10 which is Aaron’s birthday. Obviously, these dates are not 100% accurate but it gives us an idea.

I go back on 8/26 for our 1st ultrasound to confirm a delivery date and to hear the baby’s heartbeat. Aaron and I are beyond excited and we are praying for a healthy baby and a smooth pregnancy.

I'm Pregnant!!!

We had a pretty big change of plans this weekend, but I would not have had it any other way. I knew I was late but chalked it up to having a stressful month. I decided to test on Saturday & guess what... a Big Fat Positive! Aaron & I are so excited to be parents. I have a Doctors appointment on Thursday so I will check back then with updates!

Happy Friday!

I'm so glad it's Friday. I could not be more ready for the weekend. Tonight my friend Jen from work is going to come out with us. I think we're going to hit up the pub and have several drinks. Saturday our friends Tom & Tara are having a BBQ. I'm so excited to see baby Brody, lay by the pool, drink with good friends, and end the night off with our insanely competitive board games.

On a different note, Brooke got a job today at the golf course & she starts tomorrow! I'm glad things are working out for her and she seems to be enjoying herself so far.

I will try to remember to take pictures this weekend! I hope everyone has a fun & safe weekend!

Girl's Night Out!

I'm so excited for a girl's night out! After work tonight Jennifer, Angela and I are going to go see a movie at the new theater that opened up in our building. We don't know what we're going to see yet, but I don't really care. All I know is there will be no husbands and plenty of booze!

My sister is moving in with us a week from today. I'm pretty excited about it but a little nervous at the same time. I haven't lived with anyone other than my awesome hubby in 4 years! I guess we will see how it goes!

My First Post!

I have finally created a blog! I’m not really sure who would want to hear the boring details of our life but here it goes! Aaron and I met when we were in high school. We hit it off from the beginning and we have been inseparable since. We got married on March 20 at the Sirata Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL. It was a beautiful sunset wedding and we enjoyed our special day with our closest friends and family. We honeymooned on the beautiful Island of St. Lucia. Between the wedding and the honeymoon, I could not imagine a better week and half! Here are some of my favorite pictures from our wedding and honeymoon. Enjoy!
