Fathers Day

Aaron had a great Father's Day filled with watching lots of golf and being as uninvolved with the boys as possible. According to him- Fathers Day is about having a day off from being the awesome dad you have to be year round. So it was a weekend of sleeping in (for him), watching golf and BBQing with the family. It was a great weekend. Especially for Aaron.

Summer Time

Life has been pretty hectic since our new arrival but were getting acclimated and trying to get back to our normal life. Brock loves nothing more than being outside so we spend a lot of time at the park and now that its getting warmer we get to take him to the lake.

More Brody Pictures :)

Brody James Campbell

Our beautiful baby boy made a quick entry into the world on Wednesday May 18, 2011. After an appointment with my doctor on Monday we decided to schedule my induction. I was 3 cm and about 80% on Monday so we decided that Wednesday would be the day unless Brody decided to come on his own before then. Tuesday night we enjoyed our last night as a family of 3. Aaron and I put Brock to bed and cuddled up. Wednesday morning we woke up, dropped Brock of at Grandbuddy and Nona's and headed to the hospital. We checked in at 7:30, got to our room around 8, started the pitocin and broke my water by 9:30. I got my epidural soon after by what I would consider the worst anesthesiologist on the planet. When you have had an epi that you didn't feel go in you expect the best. This guy missed twice! The WORST pain I have ever felt. He finally got it in on the 3rd try and it was smooth sailing from there. The nurse checked me around 11:30 and said I was complete and my doctor was on her way. As soon as Dr. Johnson arrived I started pushing. I got through my 1st set and Brody's head was already out. With the next contraction I started my next push. Dr. Johnson told me to stop and pulled Brody out. We were all kind of in shock between how fast everything happened and how big Brody was we all just kind of looked at each other and laughed. Brody James made his grand entrance at 12:37 pm weighing in at a whopping 8 pounds 2 ounces and 20 inches long. My entire pregnancy Aaron and I wondered if he would look like Brock. Sure enough we got a clone- a much larger clone. Brody has been such a joy. We thought Brock was an easy baby but he doesn't hold a light to Brody. Brody eats like a champ, sleeps like champ, and is just as happy as can be even when big brother Brock is sucking his toes, stealing his paci and ripping his blanket away. I have never felt more complete. My family is perfect. I wouldn't change it for anything. Not even a little girl :)

I love epidurals!
