Apple Orchard/ Pumpkin Patch

We took the boys to an apple orchard last weekend & had tons of fun. They had a little petting farm, hay rides, train rides, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze and because it wouldn't be the mid-west with out one... a giant pile of hay. We got to enjoy some carmel apples, beautiful weather and family time. It doesn't get much better than that!

Death By T-Bag

This weekend I had Brody on the ottoman wedged into the couch. I went into the kitchen to make lunch and I hear this muffled cry. I run over to find Brock laying on Brody's face with his balls on Brody's forehead. Brody can't move or breathe. I threw Brock off him in a panic & find an understandably pissed off Brody. Everyone is calming down as Aaron strolls into the living room and asks what all the commotion was. The last thing he was expecting to hear was my entirely serious response, "Brock almost t-bagged Brody to death."

    Brock's 1st Hair Cut

So... I may or may not have had the worst case of Mom goggles ever...

We finally realized that Brock was in desperate need of a hair cut. Much to our disappointment the long hair thing just wasn't working for him.

We took him to one of those kid's hair cut places. As we walked in I see this pint sized stylist cutting another little boys hair. He was getting the traditional little boy hair cut. You know the one where they just take clippers to it all the way around and shape around the ears way too much. So now their forehead looks huge and there is so much space between the top of their ear and their hair line their ears look huge too?! All I could think was what if she makes Brock look like a dork like this other kid?!?!

We went ahead and strapped him in the chair. Much to our surprise she listened to what we asked for and did a great job. That other Mom must have wanted her son to look like that. Poor kid!

    Brody 3 Months

    Brody,

You are 3 months old today. I can't believe how much you have grown. You are the biggest cuddle bug and the sweetest baby. You have the warmest hugs and the sweetest smile. You love to watch your big brother play. You just look so curious as you watch him as if you just can't wait to play with him. You are such a big boy! You are growing like a weed! You are wearing clothes that Brock wore when he was 4 & 5 months old. You can roll over from your back to your belly. You like to bat at the toys on your activity mat. You love to look in the mirror and the adorable baby that stares back at you. You laugh so hard when mommy tickles you with her hair. You love getting hugs from Brock and you tolerate when he hits you. You are one tough baby! One day you will be able to get him back... I promise! You are sleeping through the night and mommy loves you for that. You are so handsome and so sweet. You are such an amazing little boy.

I love you to the moon and back.

    Brock 15 Months

Brock is so much fun these days. He is running all over the place, climbing on everything, eating anything and everything, and getting smarter and cuter by the day. He started a new daycare up here and is in the toddler room & he absolutely loves it.

    What Brock's been up to:

Loves to read books, play with trucks, throw and kick and balls, climb up slides, swing, swim, sing songs, and dance
He can sign "more" and can say "get". He says get to dogs. We don't know if he is saying it to tell them to get or if he thinks dogs are called "get". He also says "sat" meaning what's that. He babbles non stop and expects you to respond to whatever it is that he thinks he is saying.
He loves to be outside more than anything. He loves to throw rocks at birds with daddy and eat dirt.
    He likes painting and coloring
He will eat anything. His current favs are cherry tomatoes, blueberries, turkey, bananas, tortilla's, any kind of cheese, Greek yogurt with fruit, hot dogs and chicken nuggets.
He is starting to mimic everything we do. It's time for us to start watching what we do around him!
He can brush his own hair and loves to brush his teeth. He loves being a big boy.
He is the BIGGEST flirt! He bats his beautiful eyelashes and plays shy. He's good!
He loves to play with Brody and give him hugs. He's a great big brother :)

He is our rock throwing, worm hunting, dirt eating, music loving, flirt.

    Brock's Stats:

    Height: 31 1/2 in- 75th percentile
    Weight: 21 lbs 5 oz- 5th percentile

    Brody- 2 Months

It always amazes me how fast time flies when you have kids. Brody is already 2 months old and we have loved every second of being a family of 4. As much as I wanted a little girl I think we have the final member of our Campbell clan. Brock is still getting used to being a big brother and we are really working on gentle touches but Brody is going to be one tough kid. Every once in a while Brock will give Brody kisses or blow raspberry's on his belly and it's those moments that melt your heart and make all those sleepless nights and diapers times 2 easy to get through.

    Brody's Milestones-

    He smiles and coos
Loves kisses and raspberry's especially from Big Brother
Is growing like a weed- Wears 3-6 months clothes, size 2 diapers, drinks 4 oz of milk
Can roll from his back to his side and has rolled from back to belly a couple of times
Loves to watch Brock play and check out everything that's going on
Has lost his hair and is starting to grow it back
Loves his activity mat- until Brock attacks

    2 Month Sats:

    Weight: 12 lbs 1 oz- 75th percentile
    Height: 23 1/2 in- 75th percentile
    Head: 15 3/4 in- 50th percentile

    Fathers Day

Aaron had a great Father's Day filled with watching lots of golf and being as uninvolved with the boys as possible. According to him- Fathers Day is about having a day off from being the awesome dad you have to be year round. So it was a weekend of sleeping in (for him), watching golf and BBQing with the family. It was a great weekend. Especially for Aaron.
