This is what I will miss most about Florida

Playing outside barefoot in the sunshine on January 30th. We never really took advantage of having beautiful weather all the time until now. We realized that we won't be able to take Brock outside and kick a soccer ball around or go to the park or walk around the lake when ever we want. So we took advantage of it this weekend!

A new adventure

This southern family is heading north! Aaron has accepted a promotion that will be moving us to Minnesota the 1st of March. I’m so proud of him and everything he has accomplished. He is a great Husband and Father and he’s clearly great at what he does. This is a great opportunity for Aaron to grow and he’s really excited about his new endeavors. We are sad to be leaving the sunshine, warm weather and great friends but we are stoked that we will be close to family up there. It will be really nice for the boys to have their Grandparents close by and nice for us to have babysitters! I guess we will be packing up the swimsuits and buying snow gear. Look out Minnesnowta… here we come!

24 weeks

•How far along: 24 weeks
•Weight gain: +7 lbs
•Maternity clothes: No
•Sleep: Great! Brock is officially weaned from his night time bottle and is sleeping 10-12 hours a night on a regular basis!!!
•Stretch marks: No
•Best moment of this week: Hearing baby’s heart beat.
•Food cravings: Anything sweet.
•Movement: All the time!
•Labor sings: No
•What I miss most: Not much. I’m in a great place right now!
•What I'm looking forward to: Deciding on a name. This kid will have a name someday. Hopefully before he is born…
•Milestones: Happy V-Day to me! Viability Day that is. The baby is now big enough to survive in the real world. Obviously we want to keep him cooking for as long a possible but it's a great feeling to know our chances are good if something horrible should happen.

Damn you Publix!

This is what happens when you send the pregnant chick to the store alone and hungry....

Damn you Publix for having everything needed to make a glorious ice cream sundae conveniently placed on an end cap. $50 and an embarrassing moment in the checkout lane later I was home, Brock was in bed and the baby and I enjoyed this delicious treat.

9 Months!!!

Every month that passes goes faster and faster. How is my baby already 9 months old?! I cant believe he's almost one...

Stats:
Weight: 18 lbs 1 oz/ 15%
Height: 28 1/2 in/ 50%
Head Circ: 17 1/2 in/ 25%
  • Crawls 24 miles per hour. Okay, not really but he's super fast.
  • Is curious about (touches) everything from the toilet paper on the wall to the teeth in your mouth
  • Pulls up on anything and everything
  • Cruises on the couch and along shelves
  • Has his 2 bottom teeth
  • Can stand on his own for a few seconds. The boy is brave. Maybe too brave for his own good. This has led to lots of boo-boos.
  • Knows where all of his toys are and loves to throw them on the floor one by one
  • Wears 9-12 month clothes
  • Size 3-4 diapers
  • LOVES to eat. I think his favorite food right now is waffles
  • Is becoming more independent each day
  • Says da-da and ma-ma but uses these words for everything
  • Loves to play ball. Aaron will throw a ball to Brock and he can pick it up and throw it back. He has the wind up part down but his release is all over the place. We're working on it!
  • Is the most loving, smart, and handsome little boy I know :)

Bath Time!!!

Brock has always loved bath time but now he LOVES bath time. We got a new tub because he was overflowing out of the infant tub but I'm still not comfortable with him in the real tub so we needed something in between. We love his ducky tub. The ducks bill quacks, it's big enough but not too big, it keeps him confined to one area making my job easier and it's cute!!! These pictures are terrible. The lighting in his bathroom sucks and the flash always makes him blink so this is the best Dad could get.

Birthday Fun

We had a birthday party to go to this weekend. I love it when we have things to do with other kids on the weekend. Brock thrives when he is around other kids. Brock had tons of fun playing with his friends. Here are some pictures...

Brock and Bryleigh. She's only 4 months old! She makes Brock look so tiny!

That's my boy. Get you some!

Happy 2nd Birthday Brody!

Half Baked... Again

This pregnancy has gone by so much faster than Brock's did. I can't believe we are already half way done!I had a doctor's appointment this week and baby boy 2 looks perfect. The test results for the downs and trisomy 18 tests came back at a less than 1 in 5,000 chance which I guess is the lowest chance they will give you. So good news there! The baby started kicking a couple of weeks ago but they still aren't strong enough to feel from the outside yet. Which is just fine with me. Feeling the baby kick is one of the only things I missed for the short time that I wasn't pregnant! Speaking of which, somehow it came up the other day that I have been pregnant the past 14 out of 18 months. I know we're crazy but it doesn't seem that way at all. I'm so busy with Brock, work, and Aaron's possible transfer, that it's only just starting to hit me that I will be a Mommy of 2 in just 4 months! We have so much to do! Starting with deciding on a name and trying to convince Aaron that it's just not acceptable for both boys to have sports themed rooms. As far as names go, I think we've narrowed it down to Braden James or Brody James. The middle name will be James in honor of Aaron's Dad. We will figure it out eventually!

Well 20 weeks down to 20 go!

Brock's First Christmas

This was the best Christmas ever! Brock loves ripping open the presents and eating the paper. That is what you're supposed to do right?! Santa brought Brock lots of new toys and Mom and Dad got some cool stuff too!

Do they look alike yet?

Aaron thinks I'm crazy because I think the boys look alike already. What do you think?
