30 Weeks

Oh my God...30 weeks?! But that means there are only about 10 to go! I still have so much to get done! I'm not ready at all for this baby to be here but I am so over being pregnant right now. Where do I start? My back hurts, my ribs hurt, my feet are swollen, I have cankles, my hands are swollen, other parts that we won't mention are swollen... I know TMI but I wont judge you when you feel like a raging bitch and are completely grossed out by yourself. I'm sure it's only going to get worse over the next 2 months. You can tell me all you want that it will be so worth it in the end and I know you're right but this sucks! Oh, and I need to be grounded from google. Nothing good can come from watching you tube videos of epidurals and reading stories about child birth and burning rings of fire! What the hell did I get myself into?!

In other news- My shower last weekend was awesome. I got tons of cute little clothes, more blankets than any baby will ever need (or at least that's what I think- do they throw up on all of those too?), even some really cute argyle burp cloths with his name embroidered on them. I just can't bring myself to use those for burping him- they are just too darn cute! We also got a play mat, a bath tub, some picture frames, stuffed animals, pacies, ect. It was a great time!

On the home front- We are expecting to get the short sale approval letter by the end of business today. If we can get this and get it sent to our bank before the end of the day there is still a chance that we can close by the end of next week. I'm so anxious to get moved and start getting ready for Brock's grand entrance! Keep your fingers crossed!
  • How far along?: 30 weeks
  • Weight gain: +22 lbs
  • Sleep: Haha- I'm not sure that I will ever sleep through the night again. I guess this is what they were referring to when you hear that being pregnant is just training for the real thing.
  • Best moment this week: My shower
  • Labor Signs: No
  • Belly button in or out: Still in
  • Stretch marks: No
  • What I'm looking forward to: Moving and being able to hang up all of his clothes and set up his nursery.
  • Milestones: I'm 75% done!

*** I pinkie promise I will post pictures this weekend! No, really- I will!

29 Weeks

I've been a bad blogger! It has been a crazy couple of weeks. We have gone from "Yay! Were getting the house!" to "No, we aren't" and now to "Oh wait, just maybe this is all going to work out". It's just craziness. If all goes smoothly and nothing else goes horribly wrong we should be closing by the end of next week! I am so ready to move and start actually getting ready for this baby to come. I can't believe it's only 11 weeks until my EDD! I'm about to have an outside baby! I'm about to be a mommy! I'm so in love already I think I might burst when I finally get to meet him.
  • How far along?: 29 weeks
  • Weight gain: +19 lbs
  • Maternity clothes: Yes
  • Sleep: I finally realized that if I put a pillow between my legs it takes some of the pressure off of back and I've been tucking extra blankets under my belly to help hold it up so I have been sleeping better. Poor Aaron is freezing though because I'm taking up so much extra blanket. Oh well, he'll get over it!
  • Best moment of this week: Getting good new on the house. I'm keeping every crossible crossed until this whole deal is finalized!
  • Labor signs: No, but I have finally figured out what a Braxton Hick feels like!
  • What I'm looking forward to: I'm going back to Dallas tonight for my 1st baby shower! I'm so excited to get to see family and friends and of coarse to get a bunch of baby goodies!
  • Milestones: Well, my feet are officially swollen! Haha! That counts, right?

I don't have any new pictures right now but I will have lots to post when I get back! Have a great weekend!

Happy Holidays!

This time of year is just crazy! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. Did Santa bring you everything you hoped and wished for?! I know Brock scored a pretty big Christmas & he's not even here yet! He got lots of blankies and clothes that are sure to make your heart melt. Grandpa Kevin & Tami got us a travel system that I completely adore. Aaron & I had tons of fun pushing Maggie (our Yorkie-Poo) around in the stroller. She was too cute- I'll have to post pictures of that later. My awesome hubby got me some much needed maternity clothes for work and a gift card to a spa! Oh man I can't wait for my massage! Anyway, here is Aaron & I Christmas Day- also 24 weeks.

  • Milestones: Happy V-Day to me! Viability Day that is. Brock is now big enough to survive in the real world. Obviously we want to keep him cooking for as long a possible but it's a great feeling to know our chances are good if something horrible should happen.

We have kicks!!!

It's about time! I finally felt Brock kick or punch or something but it was movement for sure! We were at a friends house sitting on the couch and I felt a little poke on my right side. I looked at Aaron and told him I think I just felt the baby move. I put his hand where I felt it and sure enough little Brock kicked his Daddy! It was so awesome! Now that I know what it feels like I feel him all the time. I'm so excited and it was well worth the wait.

21 Weeks

Wow, 21 weeks! Before you know it our little man will be here. I can't believe how fast time is going by. Christmas is on it's way and we still don't know if we will be in the new house by then or not. Please people approve the short sale already! Well in honor of the Holiday Season here is our little man in a Santa hat! I couldn't resist!

  • How far along?: 21 weeks
  • Weight gain: I have a doctor's appointment Monday and will get the official weigh in. But I weighed myself at Publix and have apparently gained 8 pounds! At least it's all belly and boobs so far!
  • Maternity clothes: Yes, I love my maternity jeans! Aaron wishes they made them for men. He gets so jealous that after a big meal my pants grow with my belly and he has to unbutton his pants.
  • Sleep: I am sleeping like a baby. Well, the babies that actually sleep!
  • Stretch marks: No!
  • Best moment of this week: Well it was last week but finding out that we're having a little boy!
  • Movement: I'm still not feeling him. I'm really starting to get frustrated with this. I'm going to ask my doctor on Monday if I have an anterior placenta. That would explain things!
  • Food cravings: I've been craving burgers this week. I can't get enough meat!
  • Belly button in or out: In but it's getting shallow. It is way too early for it to pop.
  • What I miss most: Nothing. I love being pregnant right now!
  • What I'm looking forward to: Starting on his nursery.
  • Weekly Wisdom: Friends are awesome! Keep them close and make sure they know how thankful you are of them.
  • Milestones: Finding out the sex & being half way done

I'm really not sure how a banana is bigger than a cantaloupe but I'm guessing they are going by length..

Half Baked

With the holiday last week I have been pretty busy and haven't had a chance to update the blog. I have reached a HUGE milestone... I am officially half way through my pregnancy! It seems like just yesterday we found out the awesome news but at the same time I can't wait to meet my little boy. Wow I never thought I would be saying that!

Some updates:
Brooke finally moved back home and while we learned a lot about our selves and each other during her time with us Aaron and I are both very glad to see her go. We have our house back and it's so nice!

We are getting close to closing on the house. Please keep your fingers crossed that everything goes through in the next week or so. We really need to be in before Christmas and I'm dying to start the baby's nursery and put up my Christmas tree.

We're making progress on a name. We're not ready to run out and get things embroidered but we have been playing with the idea of Brock Christian for a couple of weeks now and we both still like it. I think it's a strong name and a great compromise to having a Jr.

Nursery decor is a battle right now. Aaron wants a typical sports themed room and I'm not having' it! I will only have the next 2 to 3 years max to have a say in how his room will be decorated and till I will be up to my eyeballs in balls, bats, gloves, ect. I want a cute nursery maybe jungle animals or sail boats. It's not like I'm trying to put pink stuff in there but I'm not ready for full blown sports stuff yet.

Well 20 weeks down to 20 go!
